What we are often asked
How often should a chimney be swept? +
If you use your chimney regularly, annual sweeping before the cold season is recommended. If you use it only occasionally, every two years may be enough. A clean chimney is a safe chimney: it helps prevent fires and improves the draught.
How much does chimney sweeping cost? +
The indicative price for basic chimney sweeping is between EUR 80 and EUR 160 + VAT, depending on the type of chimney, accessibility and condition of the flue. We always give you the exact price before we start. No surprises at the end.
Do you also cover the Pyrenees and rural areas? +
Yes. We cover the Catalan Pyrenees, Alt Pirineu, Pallars, Cerdanya and the whole of Andorra, with travel included in the quote. We have been reaching places others do not for decades. See our Pyrenees service
What is the difference between chimney sweeping and a camera inspection? +
Chimney sweeping removes soot and creosote from the flue. A camera inspection goes further: we insert a high-resolution camera to detect internal cracks, fractures or blockages that cannot be seen with the naked eye. It is recommended if you have an old chimney or if it came with the house when you bought it. Learn more
