How long does chimney sweeping take?
Between 45 minutes and 2 hours, depending on the type of chimney, flue length and overall condition. We give you an estimated duration when we confirm the visit.
Do I need to prepare anything before you arrive?
No. We only need access to the fireplace and, if possible, the flue outlet. We bring all the equipment we need.
Why is creosote dangerous?
Creosote is a tar-like residue that builds up when damp wood is burned. At an advanced stage it can burn at over 1,000 degrees. Most chimney fires have one cause: accumulated creosote that was not removed in time.
